Here are the Editor's Picks articles for the Bible Basics Site! These are the top ten articles that your Bible Basics Editor feels are most important for you to read. Enjoy!

1. Please Believe
Why do I care whether or not anyone finds God, and falls at Jesus’ feet to be rescued and healed and loved? I care because that’s where I am…at Jesus’ feet.

2. What is Joy ?
Joy is the sweetest, most piercing emotion. The existence of joy puts everything in perspective. It explains many things about truth, reality, life and death, love and loss and heaven and everlasting life and the goodness of God and just about any other mysterious thing you can name.

3. Agape Love - Fruit of the Spirit
I don’t own a diamond. But I’ve admired them on other fingers, and beyond their enchanting sparkle, their facets are fascinating. Look from a different angle, move toward or away from the light, and new patterns and depths emerge. Agape love, the first fruit of the Spirit, is like that.

4. Be Brave - Surrender
“Hi, Bambi,” my husband and I say to every deer we see while out walking. We grew up in 20th century movie-mad America, and all wildlife is Disney-fied in our brains. Our attitudes toward more important things are affected by our culture, too, including the idea that it’s never okay to surrender.

5. Dragons, Dinosaurs, and Even Unicorns
How come the Bible never mentions dinosaurs? And where do we Christians make them fit in the story anyway? I hope you’re already reeling off the answers in your head by now, but a recent conversation has reminded me that many Christians are confused about dragons, dinosaurs, and unicorns.

6. Are you Deceived?
I fear that sometimes the phrase “Pharisees and Sadducees” must go through Jesus’ mind when he sees what we say and do. This would not be a good thing. He told the P's and S's that they were deceived...let’s examine ourselves to be sure we haven’t slipped into one of the errors Jesus describes.

7. Angel Facts and Fallacies
Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings…not. It’s a cute line, but the theology in It’s a Wonderful Life is a disaster. Angels are real and we need to understand the truth about them. We won’t get that from Hollywood, so let’s see what Scripture has to say about angels.

8. A God of Fresh Starts
Don’t you just love a fresh start? I mess up so often that the chance to give it another go tomorrow is precious to me. Since I can’t undo my mistakes, I rejoice that our Creator is a God of fresh starts.

9. The Church Must Love Battered Women
A hideous problem lurks in the pews of your church. In the row behind you, or across the aisle, sits a woman whose husband treats her like a wretched dog. You can’t tell who it is, because she has her Sunday face on. He might be sitting beside her, with his on, too.

10. The Unforgivable Sin
Don’t you ever wonder? What is that one thing you could do that God will not or cannot forgive? Is there such a sin?
